Foster homes allow MHHR to help more horses than we could on our own. Fostering can give you the chance to get to know a special horse and assist in their recovery. We visit prospective foster homes, require references, and do regular checkups on the horse's condition. We reserve the right to deny any foster applicant for any reason and without giving a reason. MHHR is responsible for the welfare of these horses and will only do what we feel is in their best interest.

If you would like to help an equine in need by lending a helping hand, a kind word and a place in your pasture, please contact us. We always have horses in need. Each horse is unique, some require special care, others require training or re-training in certain aspects. Some just need to be shown compassion and to have someone care for them on their road to recovery..
