How can you help? We are always in need of donations. Your donations go directly to the animals in our care. All monetary donations are used to cover our basic expenses of feed, vet care and farrier costs. If you prefer, direct gifts of feed, hay, halters, blankets, tack, etc. are also welcome. We rely solely on donations to run this sanctuary and are not government funded in any way. We have no administration board member fees or costs, as we are strictly volunteer. In other words, all donations benefit the horses, and only the horses.

Individual Donations
Donations from individuals are what keep Meadow Haven going. With your help, we can continue to rescue horses from abuse, starvation, and neglect, rehabilitate them, and find loving, caring forever homes for them. ALL donations are appreciated. Your donations go directly to purchase food & supplies and pay for medical & farrier services. If you wish your donation to be spent in a specific way, be sure to specify it.
Be sure to ask your employer if they will match your individual donation and if they might be interested in to sponsoring one of MHHR's horses.
A donation to MHHR is a fitting tribute on a special occasion, birthday, a big graduation or as a memorial to a loved one that has passed away. We will also work with you to arrange for Charitable Remainder Trusts or other major gifts.

Corporate Sponsorship
Community involvement is very important to the image of your company. Get your employees involved too! Matching your employee's donations is a wonderful way to make your employees feel like part of the family.
Sponsor a Horse
- For only $200/month, you can select a horse to sponsor. When you sponsor your horse for 1 year, we will post "Sponsored by Company Name" on their page with your contact info, add your business card to our Corporate Sponsors page, add you to our front page sponsor rotation, and send you a certificate of thanks with your company name and your sponsored horse's name for you to post at your business. We are flexible and will work with you to provide what you need to make this a beneficial relationship!
General Donations
- Donations of funds or items are always needed. Visit our Wish List(Coming Soon) to see what items we currently need. If you would like to donate items not on our list, please contact us. For donations of $1,000 and above, we will add your business card to our Corporate Sponsors page, acknowledge your gift in our news and announcements, send you a certificate of thanks, and provide space for promotional materials or information at our events. For donations under $1,000, we will list your company name on our Corporate Sponsors page and acknowledge your gift in our news and announcements.
Special Projects
- From fencing our new field to medical emergencies, you can make a difference. When you assist with our Special Projects, we will make special mention of your gifts in our news and announcements, add your business card to our Corporate Sponsors page, and allow you to advertise your charity where applicable. (ex: sign - 'Fencing was donated by CompanyName') space for promotional materials or information at our events, etc.
We can also provide a company day at MHHR for you and your employees to meet the horses of MHHR, booths at our events, and more!

Sponsor a Horse
Sponsoring is the support which allows us to maintain the horses who are permanent residents of our sanctuary, or horses that are under MHHR's care while they are recovering and being rehabilitated and waiting to find their forever home with a new owner!. Any of the horses at MHHR may be sponsored, or you can share the cost with others by co-sponsoring a horse. If you do not live in the area, we can provide you with quarterly updates and a picture of the horse you wish to sponsor. Sponsorship helps us to properly care for these wonderful animals. It assists us in purchasing nutritious hay, grain, senior feed for our older friends, medicine if needed, vitamins, hoof care, veterinary care, wormers, vaccinations, etc. Sponsorship is a great outlet for you to put your arms around an animal that really needs you.
If you would like to sponsor one of our horses you can select the horse you want to sponsor and send us a check or use PayPal indicating who you have selected. We will send you a picture of your horse and a current update/history. You are also welcome to visit, by appointment, and bring your horse treats, brush them, etc.

100% of your donation goes to the animals in our care.
Your donations help us pay for the feed and veterinary care of our animals. Our permanent residents need sponsors to help with their monthly medications and care. You are welcome to visit your sponsored horse, or we will send you updates and photos if you live too far away.
